The distribution of fresh NSG-branded seedlings also started
NSG was also one of the exhibitors at the 15th edition of Fruit Attraction 2023, a research and testing company active in the strawberry and small fruit sector. For the Italian company, this was the fourth consecutive year of presence at the important international event. Nova Siri Genetics, partner of the Andalusian association Freshuelva, was present in Hall 9, together with the main Spanish players in the strawberry and berries sector, i.e. nurserymen, producers and exporters of strawberries from the Huelva region".
“The edition that has just ended” - says Carmela Suriano, EMEA director of the company – “confirmed our expectations in terms of networking with different players in the supply chain. There have been many meetings with Spanish and international players interested in our breeding program, some of which we believe may be the basis for the development of future partnerships".
The manager says that the participation in the event was numerous and qualified, achieving an increase in attendance estimated at around 10% compared to the last edition". For NSG, the presence of producers and nurseries from the Maghreb and North African countries is very important, with whom we are consolidating business relations with a view to internationalizing the company’s business”.
Joaquín Domínguez, NSG sales manager for Spain and North Africa, on the other hand, explains: 'Fruit Attraction is held at an important time for our strawberry licensees and producers. Having completed the marketing of the top plant type plants, nurserymen are now sending strawberry plants of NSG's fresh type varieties to the main production areas in the Mediterranean basin. The quality of the nursery material is good and the planting will finish in the last week of October, while production is expected to start in the last weeks of the current year.
